NRG Esports has been a North American powerhouse for most of the history of the RLCS. They've racked up domestic titles, locked in perfect seasons, and performed admirably at nearly every event they've gone to. Yet, there's been one accomplishment that has continually evaded them: A World Championship trophy. After the departure of the legendary Jayson "Fireburner" Nunez during the offseason, there were question marks surrounding where the squad would look to fill Fireburner's shoes.
The answer came from Europe. In what became Rocket League Esports' second cross-region transfer, three-time World Champion Pierre "Turbopolsa" Silfver joined to form a superteam that has championship-or-bust written all over them. They've already started hot this year, taking home a victory at the first-ever Rocket League Summit, but they don't want to stop there. They have Season 8 in their sights, and this time around, they're looking to finish the job.
